Xiaomi Unveils Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus

Written by Adrin S

It’s finally out of the bag — Xiaomi has unveiled its much-anticipated Mi 5s and its more advanced sibling — the Mi 5s Plus. The specs for both models have surprised many since, prior to the launch, rumors were circulating that the Mi 5s will feature dual rear cameras. Instead, what we have now are two variants of the Mi 5s with only the Plus version featuring dual rear cameras while the Mi 5s appears to be an all-metal version of its predecessor — the Mi 5, with one rear camera.

The Mi 5s features a new unibody aluminum design with a brushed metal finish and curved edges. It also retains the same antenna lines that can be found on its predecessor along the top and bottom of its body. The rear camera sports a 12MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF while the front camera features a 4MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.
