Recently, Gionee released its new M7 smartphone. It features a bezel-less design, similar to Apple’s iPhone X, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 and Xiaomi’s Mi Mix 2. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and features a 6-inch full HD 1080P display with a 2160 x 1080 resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P30 processor clocked at 2.30GHz and comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal memory.
The casing is top notch with a full-metal finish. There is also a dual camera setup at the rear with a 16MP camera with autofocus and LED flash and an 8MP secondary camera. At the front is another 8MP camera for selfies and video calls.
Gionee M7 includes dual-SIM support (Hybrid SIM slot) and features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and NFC for connectivity. The battery is a solid 4,000mAh and supports fast charging.
The M7 is available in two guises — the M7 (described above) and M7 Power. The M7 Power has a lower resolution of 1440 x 720 but has a larger 5,000mAh battery. The M7 is expected to sell for $422 while the M7 Power is expected to sell for $301.
